Rocca di Montevarmine

The Rocca di Montevarmine, 4 km from Carassai, is a 14th century castle with Lombard roots dating back to the 9th century. Imposing and practically intact, it is a rare example of a Picenum fortified farmhouse. With mighty walls, a 35-metre high tower with Ghibelline battlements, archers and piers, it offers a breathtaking view. Surrounded by greenery, it is a historical and scenic attraction in the area.
