Mulino fortificato di Sisto V
The fortified Mill of Sixtus V, a jewel of the Valdaso, is a rare example of defensive and productive architecture. Built in 1320, it owes its name to the future Pope Sixtus V, who benefited from it in 1567. On three levels, it preserves the original millstones, the miller's dwelling and the defensive battlements, later converted into a dovecote. Used as a mint in 1797, today it hosts events and guided tours are available by appointment.
