Chiesa di San Vito
The Church of San Vito, in Propezzano, is a rare example of a fortified church, with roots dating back to the 14th century. Strategic for the control of the territory, it underwent transformations in the 16th century, as evidenced by dated engravings.
Over time, it has seen significant changes; restoration work in 2010 brought to light frescoes and ancient floors, preserving its centuries-old history. Today, the church has a bell tower dominating the nave, a stone portal and loopholes that tell of its defensive past. It stands alone at the highest point of the hill, surrounded by a beautiful view.
