Chiesa di San Giorgio all'Isola

The Church of San Giorgio all'Isola, built in the 10th century and once under the jurisdiction of the monks of Farfa, is a historical and artistic treasure. In 1535, it was enlarged with the addition of a second nave, bell tower and sacristy.

Inside, one can admire 12th-century oriental frescoes and 16th-century works depicting saints and religious scenes, as well as a baldachin from 1555. Its architecture, with ogival arches and irregular bays, testifies to its long and fascinating history.
