Lake Gerosa, 6 km from Montemonaco, is an artificial basin set in the Monti Sibillini National Park. Created in 1983 for water supply, it extends for 2 km, fed by the Aso river. It offers an evocative landscape, with a rich backdrop of ruins and a varied fish fauna. Ideal for canoeing, sailing, fishing and walking, it is also home to numerous species of migratory birds.
