The Monti Sibillini National Park is a protected natural area that protects the mountainous massif of the same name, extending between the regions of Marche and Umbria, divided over four provinces: Ascoli Piceno, Fermo, Macerata and Perugia.
It covers an area of approximately 71,437 hectares on predominantly mountainous terrain. The predominant landscape is that of the limestone massif of the Apennine chain.
There are numerous species typical of this mountainous territory, such as the alpine anemone, the mountain asphodel, the Apennine potentilla and the rare edelweiss.
