Descrizione
We start out from Monterubbiano, a village that dominates the Marche countryside with its medieval walls and a breathtaking view of the hills and the Adriatic. We descend along a panoramic ridge that gives us unforgettable views of the Ete valley, surrounded by golden fields and rows of cypress trees. Before reaching the river, we turn right and begin the ascent towards Lapedona, an ancient village full of charm, with its narrow streets, the church of San Nicolò and the panorama of vineyards.
We continue eastwards, breathing in the sea air, to reach the small, charming church of Madonna Manù, set among the fields. From here we turn right and, pedalling along dirt roads, we arrive at Altidona, with its medieval tower and bastions that tell the story of ancient defences.
From Altidona we move onto the ridge to the side, a dirt track that avoids traffic and allows us to enjoy unspoilt nature, before returning briefly to the provincial road. Soon, however, we detour to visit Moresco, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, with its iconic heptagonal tower and a small square that seems suspended in time. The route concludes by returning to nearby Monterubbiano, tired but satisfied.
Technical comment: The itinerary has numerous ups and downs and some demanding climbs. A little training or the use of an e-bike is recommended to fully enjoy the experience.
